Fireworks in Manchester and Greater Manchester

Manchester gardens split sharply. Inner-city terraces in Hulme, Moss Side, Longsight and the older parts of Salford are tight — selection boxes and single-shot mines only. The mid-tier semis in Chorlton, Withington and Didsbury take F2 cakes and fountains comfortably. South Manchester proper — Altrincham, Hale, Bowdon, Bramhall, Wilmslow — has the bigger gardens that handle F3 display packs. Same goes for the Bury, Bolton and Stockport semis on the periphery.

5 November is the biggest night. Heaton Park runs the city's headline display, with smaller events at Platt Fields, Wythenshawe Park and across the Salford and Bury bonfire programmes. The 11pm curfew extends to midnight on the night. If you want a specific delivery date, order before late October — Bonfire week itself books up first.

Diwali is the second-biggest fireworks night in Manchester. The Curry Mile through Rusholme runs a major street celebration with fireworks each year, and we see a strong run of orders into M14, M16 and the Longsight and Levenshulme postcodes through October. The legal window extends to 1am on the night of Diwali itself.

The closest showroom is Dinnington — about an hour east via the M62 and M1 (Junction 31). Most M-postcode customers shop online, but if you want to see fireworks fire before you buy, the showroom screens run every cake on test. Ring 01909 560011 ahead.

The legal points. 11pm-7am curfew on most nights, with extensions to midnight on 5 November and 1am on Diwali, New Year's Eve and Chinese New Year. Private land only. Safety distances are 8 metres for F2 garden fireworks, 25 metres for F3 display fireworks. 18+ to buy F2 or F3.

Low-noise is a proper category — under-75dB cakes, fountains and Catherine wheels listed on our low-noise collection. The bangs are stripped out; the colour and crackle stays. Suits the close-packed terraced postcodes and households with older neighbours or pets nearby.

Storage: cool, dry, locked, out of children's reach. Manufacturers' packaging is fine. Up to 48 days from delivery without an explosives licence. The driver will move boxes wherever you ask before they leave.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you deliver fireworks to Manchester?

Yes, every M postcode from the city centre out to the suburbs, plus all Greater Manchester boroughs (Stockport, Salford, Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Tameside, Trafford, Wigan). Our drivers run the same routing for all 10 boroughs, with delivery dates calculated by postcode at checkout.

How long does delivery take?

Your guaranteed delivery date is shown at checkout when you enter your postcode. You choose from Saver (£19.95, 3 working days, non-pyro only), Standard (from £14.95), or Express (from £24.95, priority routing). You don't pick an exact date; the system shows what date to expect based on your chosen option.

Can I visit a showroom instead?

Yes. All three showrooms are within driving range of Manchester: Ripley in Derbyshire, Retford in Notts, and Dinnington near Sheffield. All three carry the full range; phone ahead if you want a specific cake set aside. Mon-Sat opening, closed Wed and Sun.

How much space do I need for a garden display?

UK firework safety distances are national, not local. F2 garden fireworks require 8 metres minimum, F3 display fireworks require 25 metres. Check each product's label. Manchester has no city-specific firework regulations. The law is the same across England and Wales.

Do you have low-noise fireworks?

Yes. We stock a dedicated low-noise range for customers who prefer quieter displays, particularly useful in built-up residential areas. The visuals are stunning while reducing the volume. Call our team on 01709 769184 or visit a showroom to browse the range in person.
