Bristol's bigger Bonfire Night events tend to be ticketed council or charity displays at venues like Ashton Court Estate and the Downs, with smaller community displays popping up across the city's parks. If you're planning your own garden display, a 5 November order placed three weeks ahead is the safest window. Last-minute orders for late October dispatch are usually fine but worth a phone call to confirm.

Legal Use: You can set off fireworks on private land any night of the year, but not between 11pm and 7am except on Bonfire Night (until midnight), New Year's Eve (until 1am), Diwali (until 1am), and Chinese New Year (until 1am). Setting off fireworks in public spaces is illegal. You must be 18+ to buy F2 and F3 fireworks.

Storage: Store fireworks in a cool, dry place away from heat, out of reach of children and pets, in original packaging. You can store them at home for up to 48 consecutive days without a licence.
