How to Use Fountain Fireworks Safely

- Light at arm's length - Use a portfire or safety lighter, never a match
- Stand well back - Once lit, retreat to the safe distance immediately
- Never return - If a fountain doesn't light, leave it for 20 minutes before approaching
- Keep water nearby - Bucket or hose for emergencies
Classification & Age Requirements
Fountains are classified as Category F2 (garden fireworks) or F3 (display fireworks). Both classifications are available to purchase by anyone aged 18 or over - no special qualifications required.
F2 fountains: 8-metre minimum safety distance
F3 fountains: 25-metre minimum safety distance
