The devil's in the snap. Fun Snaps (also sold as Devil Snaps) are the classic throwdown novelty — 50 little snaps in a box, each one cracks with a sharp pop when it hits something hard.
Drop one on the pavement, stamp on it, lob it at someone's feet. Each snap is a twist of tissue paper with a tiny bit of grit inside that does the work. F1 means anyone over 16 can buy them, and the whole box of 50 contains 1g of pyro-powder. Basically harmless.

Fawkes' Top Tip
Throw them onto a hard surface — concrete or pavement work best. Grass and carpet absorb the impact and the snaps just fizzle. Keep them dry; damp snaps don't pop.
