The devil's in the snap. Fun Snaps (also sold as Devil Snaps) are the classic throwdown novelty from Cube Fireworks: 50 little snaps in a box, and each one cracks with a sharp pop when it hits something hard.
Throw one down on something solid and it goes off on impact. Each snap is a twist of paper with a little grit inside, and the whole box of 50 holds 1 gram of pyro-powder between them. Rated F1, a low-hazard firework: safe to use with as little as 1 metre of space.
They've been a Bonfire Night and Halloween favourite for generations, and they still get a laugh every time. More throwdowns and crackling bits are in the novelty fireworks range.
