What Are Rockets?

Rockets consist of a paper tube that is filled up with pyro-powder, this is then set alight and propelled in to the air by an attached motor. Once the motor has burned for a predetermined time (meaning the rocket is at the correct height) the fuse burns into the main compartment of the rocket and caused a burst in the sky.

Rockets vary quite a lot. The smaller packs of rocket which are suitable for the back garden and burst with a small to medium sized break. You also have the huge display rockets which have large amounts of powder in them and go to huge heights, filling the sky with amazing breaks.

When To Use Rockets?

Rockets are hugely popular in both big public displays and in smaller back garden displays. They are enjoyed both big and small by families across the country.

With rockets it is important to note that the stick has to come back to the ground once the rocket has burst. Therefore, it is recommended that people in built up areas or if the prevailing wind is blowing away (rockets fly into the wind!) from a built up area you don't fire rockets and stick to other types of fireworks.

Firework Safety

At Galactic Fireworks safety is at the forefront of everything that we do, fireworks must be used responsibly to minimise the risk of any accidents to yourself or to others. We want to make sure that everyone has a wonderful time watching fireworks and safety protocols are adhered to.

When you’re choosing which rockets for your display, always choose quality over quantity. 10-15 top quality rockets wow a crowd more than 30 average rockets that leave everyone a bit underwhelmed. Rockets fill the night sky with spectacular effects, they’re ideal for interspersing between cakes and candles.

Rockets can often be the highlight and centre of a fireworks display, producing the largest single burst of all the fireworks available on the market. Developed in the second-century BCE by the Chinese, rocket fireworks have a rich history. Traditionally, fireworks were used for religious reasons but were then adapted for use in the military, becoming ‘flaming arrows’. Later, gunpowder was introduced as a new major component of tickets, creating explosions like we see today.

Rockets are popular due to their spectacular, mesmerising effects. Here are some of the beautiful rocket visuals that will fill the sky.
