The professional way to light a fuse. Portfires burn with a long, steady flame that holds in wind and rain, so you light the fuse, step back and move on, no fighting a lighter in the cold.
Four to a pack from Celtic, the same kit display teams use. Each one burns long enough to light a row of fireworks on a single go.
Cheap, essential, and far safer than a lighter held over a fuse.
Fawkes' Top Tip
Touch the flame to the side of the fuse, not over the top, so you are never leaning over the firework.
