Plastic Ignitor Cord 10m Length

Ten metres of plastic ignitor cord on the reel, for carrying a flame from one point to the next at a known, steady speed.

It burns at about three centimetres a second, which is the whole point of it. Cut a measured length and you know how long the flame takes to travel, so your timings are worked out on the bench rather than guessed at in the dark.

It behaves much like visco fuse, but it is waterproof and more consistent, so a damp night does not put everything out. Celtic supply it, and ten metres goes a long way once you start cutting it to length.
