If you are looking for a gentle introduction to fireworks for younger children, the Mercury Box by Evolution Fireworks is a fantastic choice. This 15-piece selection box focuses on colour and visual effects rather than loud noises, making it perfect for a relaxed family garden display.
The assortment is designed to build up gradually, starting with smaller ground-based items and moving up to aerial effects. You get a generous mix of 7 fountains that provide long-duration sprays of crackles and colour, along with 2 roman candles and 2 single-shot tubes for some pop and fizz.
To add a bit of height to the show, there are 2 garden rockets that whoosh upwards with a satisfying trail. The display rounds off with 2 small barrages (cakes) that provide a mini-finale. While the majority of the box is low-noise, the final cake does introduce some moderate bangs to finish the night with a bit of excitement.
Galactic Top Tip:
Selection boxes like this contain lots of smaller items that need to be secured upright. We highly recommend having a bucket of soft soil or sand ready. You can simply push the fountains and candles into the sand to keep them stable, which is much safer and easier than trying to prop them up on a patio with bricks!
