Diwali Fireworks by Type

Diwali is the festival of lights, so we’ve grouped picks by what they’re for rather than just listing everything at once.

Colourful Effects

Colour is the whole point of Diwali, so this is where to start. Aurora fans 64 shots wide and sweeps colour across the sky in slow, shifting waves. Moonfall launches 25 shots of coloured dahlias, reds, greens, oranges, purples and blues, that tumble back down in a shimmering silver horse-tail. Colourful Crossette fires 25 shots that split mid-air into bright crossing trails. All three are rated low noise.

Aurora – £39.99, F3
Moonfall – £29.99, F2
Colourful Crossette – £17.99, F2

Sparklers

Sparklers are a Diwali staple, for adults and, with supervision, for children too. The Bargain Sparkler Pack mixes 18-inch golden mammoths with crackling and coloured sparklers in one bundle. Magical Wands give a coloured-flame sparkler effect on a biodegradable cardboard handle.

Bargain Sparkler Pack – £5.00
Magical Wands – £5.99

Fountains

Ground-level golden effects that work well in smaller gardens. Gold Spectrum throws a rich gold spray from a cone that gets bigger as it burns down. Titanium Volcano is a twin pack of high-performance fountains, one red base and one blue, rated low noise.

Gold Spectrum – £7.99, F2
Titanium Volcano – £7.99, F2

Low-Noise Options

Diwali tends to land in shared neighbourhoods, so low-noise options matter more here than for most occasions. Stardust is a 25-shot low-noise cake built around red and green tiger tails over glittering ground mines. Praise The Sky opens with a shimmering red fountain before firing coloured pearls and gold glitter across the sky. Midnight Sky is a 25-shot cake built for visual impact rather than bangs.

Stardust – £13.99, F2
Praise The Sky – £19.99
Midnight Sky – £27.99, F2

Celebrating Diwali with Fireworks in the UK

Diwali is the festival of lights. It marks the victory of light over darkness, and it’s celebrated by Hindu, Sikh, Jain and Buddhist communities across the UK, with diyas lit, sweets shared and fireworks let off on the main night.

Diwali is one of only four nights a year with an extended fireworks curfew, alongside Bonfire Night, New Year’s Eve and Chinese New Year. Standard UK hours run 7am to 11pm; on Diwali night that extends to 1am.

Most UK Diwali celebrations happen in back gardens, often with several households on the same street celebrating on the same night.

That’s exactly where low-noise fireworks earn their keep.

You get the colour and the display without the heavy bangs that upset neighbours or pets. Give neighbours a heads-up if you can, and keep spectators at a safe distance: 8 metres for F2 fireworks, 25 metres for F3. Full detail in our fireworks safety guide.

Diwali Fireworks FAQ

When is Diwali 2026?

Diwali 2026 falls on Sunday 8 November. The main celebrations and fireworks typically take place on the evening of Diwali itself, though festivities span five days, from Friday 6 to Tuesday 10 November.

What time can I set off fireworks on Diwali?

Diwali is one of four designated nights with an extended curfew. The usual limit is 11pm, but you can set off fireworks until 1am on Diwali night itself. This is set by The Fireworks Regulations 2004.

What are the best fireworks for Diwali?

Colourful cakes and barrages with vivid multi-colour effects suit the festival of lights theme. Aurora and Moonfall are two of our most popular picks. Sparklers are traditional. Fountains with golden effects like Gold Spectrum are popular for garden celebrations. Consider low-noise options like Stardust or Praise The Sky if you’re celebrating in a residential area.

Can I set off fireworks in my garden for Diwali?

Yes. The same rules apply as any other occasion: F2 fireworks need an 8-metre safety distance, F3 need 25 metres. Give neighbours advance notice as a courtesy, particularly since Diwali often falls on a shared street with several households celebrating.

Do you deliver before Diwali?

Yes. We’re open all year round and dispatch within 2 working days. For Diwali 2026 (8 November), we recommend ordering by late October to guarantee stock on popular items. Peak season overlaps with Bonfire Night on 5 November, so order early.

Are there low-noise fireworks for Diwali?

Yes. Our low-noise collection includes fountains, quieter cakes and sparklers that produce minimal bang, ideal for residential areas and neighbourhoods where noise is a concern.
