What are the best fireworks for a proposal?
Sparklers and ice fountains are the most popular for the proposal moment itself. Sparklers can be used to write messages (with a long-exposure camera), while ice fountains add drama to a dinner or champagne reveal. For a bigger display after the proposal, garden fountains and low noise cakes create a romantic backdrop without overpowering the moment.
Are engagement fireworks safe for small gardens?
Most products in this collection are F1 (1 metre safety distance) or F2 (8 metres). Sparklers, ice fountains and fun snaps are F1 and can be used almost anywhere. Fountains and small cakes are F2, needing 8 metres clearance, which most gardens can accommodate.
Can I set off fireworks for an engagement at night?
Yes, but there are noise regulations to consider. Fireworks should not be used after 11pm on most nights (midnight on Bonfire Night, New Year's Eve, Diwali, and Chinese New Year). Our low noise options are the best choice for late evening proposals in residential areas.
How do I keep the fireworks a surprise?
Ask a trusted friend or family member to set things up while you keep your partner occupied. Most of our products can be set up in under 5 minutes. For sparkler writing, practise the camera technique beforehand – you only get one shot at the real thing.
