Galactic Update: November 2024

Now that we're on the other side of the season, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of you for making it another enjoyable and successful year at Galactic Fireworks!

Stocking Up for Next Year

There's no time for rest, however. We're already stocking up for next year, with exciting plans in the works for a new selection of pre-made displays. Our storage hangars are already filling up, and we're not even out of November yet!

New Product Additions and Filming

We've added some stunning new products to our range, and we were fortunate enough to do some filming earlier this week. We now have live videos showcasing everything we've added. We filmed 29 new items, and I must say, there wasn't a single dud among them. We don't get to set off fireworks as often as we'd like these days, so it was an absolute pleasure to fire 29 items and walk away feeling so proud of the range we offer.

Knowing that when a customer buys from us here at Galactic—whether spending £15 on a smaller back garden cake or £400 on a giant compound—they're getting the best value and highest quality fireworks, and will finish the night with a beaming smile on their face, is immensely satisfying.

Highlights of the Night

Beat Thy Neighbour

First and foremost, the Beat Thy Neighbour—a cracking compound from Brothers Pyrotechnics. We'd been considering this one for a while. We watched the pre-production video from China, and it wasn't the best quality, so with a powder weight of just over 1.2 kg and being 1.4G and category 2, we were unsure about stocking it.

Boy, were we wrong! We fired one in person, and it's on another level—ridiculous performance. Astonishingly, it's category F2, which means it can be used in a reasonably sized garden with an 8-metre safety distance. However, with something this powerful, I'd recommend getting as far back as possible, purely for the best display perspective!

Crazy Horses

Next up is the Crazy Horses. Wow! I've never seen anything quite like this. It's a huge compound consisting purely of dazzling golden horsetails—low noise and absolutely stunning. Yes, it might be a little niche, but there's nothing like it anywhere else. Outside of professional display fireworks, you won't get any closer to a professional experience than this. If you're looking for something truly unique to wow your audience, Crazy Horses is the way to go.

Smaller Cakes

We also fired half a dozen smaller cakes from both Evolution Fireworks and Brothers Pyrotechnics. While all of them were impressive and offered brilliant value for money, the Divine Night, Stardust, and Excalibur really stood out. You can't go wrong with any of them, though. Looking ahead to 2025, we're aiming to create a fantastic mixed cake pack of all of these, so you get a great mixture at a discounted price.

Introducing Pyroworx

We've been thoroughly impressed with the new Pyroworx brand since their products arrived earlier this year. Unfortunately, they came quite late in the season—the container ship didn't arrive until almost mid-October—so we're almost treating their stock as new for 2025!

Everything we've fired from them have been amongst some of the best fireworks we've ever seen here in the UK. While we often rely on powder weight as a rough idea of a product's performance and value, the team over at Pyroworx have repeatedly told us about the high quality of the powder they're using. The production costs, the love, and attention put into them at the design level have led to fireworks of a standard I've never seen before. We currently have a great range of their products and we're excited to showcase even more going into next year.

Simplifying Our Delivery System

Another little change we've made online over the last week is simplifying our delivery system. As always, we deliver all orders ourselves using our own dedicated drivers and provide live tracking information to give you the easiest and most convenient delivery experience. Now, when placing an order, you can choose your delivery option and get a rough idea of the delivery date. For example, our standard delivery option right now will guarantee delivery for New Year's Eve, whilst the premium option will get them to you sooner. This will streamline the delivery process for both us and our customers, knowing when an order is urgent or can be delivered at a later date.

Gearing Up for New Year's Eve

So, with Diwali and Bonfire Night now behind us, as always, we've got bunkers full of fireworks and we're gearing up for New Year's Eve. We're busy getting orders prepared and shipped out, displays planned, and firing orders arranged.
