Twenty-five shots of blue stars, up and gone in about thirty seconds. Bright Star built the Surprise Baby Boy as a single-effect cake for one job only: the gender reveal.
The box is deliberately unremarkable, identical to the Pink version bar the small print on the side. Nobody glimpsing it at delivery, or spotting it in the shed before the night, is any the wiser.
Point it straight up on a firm stake and light the visco fuse. Rated F2, a garden firework: keep spectators at least 8 metres back.

The way this works: the sonographer sends the scan result straight to a trusted friend or relative — sealed envelope, separate phone call, whatever the parents have set up — bypassing the parents entirely. That trusted person orders the right version, keeps the box out of sight until the night, and fires it. Parents find out the same time everyone else does, when the first shot goes up.
