Pink Smoke Grenade has one job above all others: the big reveal. A cloud of pink at a gender reveal or an engagement shoot tells everyone the news before anyone says a word.
It's a single ring-pull grenade from Black Cat. Pull the ring and it catches within a couple of seconds, then pours out around 90 seconds of thick smoke with no flame and nothing fired into the air. Outdoors only, and on private land: the label is clear that setting one off in a public area is against the law.
Keep it out of sight until the moment, then pull the ring and step back. Have the cameras rolling before you pull, because nobody wants to film the reveal after it has happened.
