When should I order New Year's Eve fireworks?
As early as possible. Stock levels drop significantly through December and popular products sell out well before Christmas. Order in November or early December for the best selection. What time can I set off fireworks on New Year's Eve?
In England, Wales and Scotland you can legally set off fireworks until 1am on New Year's Eve (the night of 31 December into 1 January). This is one of four nights with extended hours; the usual cut-off on other dates is 11pm. Always be considerate of neighbours and pets.
How do I plan a midnight firework display?
Set up your fireworks before dark while you can see what you are doing. Space cakes at least 2 metres apart on firm, level ground. Use portfires for safe lighting. Time your main display for midnight. Start with a smaller compound at 11:58, build to your biggest piece at midnight, then finish with sparklers or a final barrage.
What safety distance do these fireworks need?
