Hi, and welcome to the Galactic Fireworks Web Site. My name is Nigel Turver and I am the owner of this family run business. We originally started selling fireworks from our village store in Laughton Common, Dinnington over 30 years ago now, I don't think you could have picked a worse location to try and sell fireworks but by putting our customers first and having a passion and knowledge to supply only the very best and most exciting fireworks money can buy eventually lead this little village store to still be the diamond in the Galactic Fireworks operation. This store is now what I like to believe is the best fireworks shop in the hole of the UK bar none. It's amazing how many people make the journey from all over the UK to see us in our Dinnington store and I thank these people as you also make our day too. We have obviously expanded over the years and now also have 3 other retail shops at Retford, South Elmsall and Ripley. Due to more and more people now buying online plus of course the fact I once again love setting off and filming pyro means we have become one of the uk's biggest online retailers of fireworks. But this said doesn't mean any of our principles have changed in fact it's far from it! We pride ourselves in being a close family owned and run business. I personally try to make sure that each of our staff are fully trained in the knowledge of fireworks that we supply plus more importantly passionate about the product that we sell. In the busy season I actually try to hire other fellow Pyromaniacs as they know and will help you to achieve a more spectacular yet safe display for your event whether that be a £10 box on your back garden or a £2,000 display? A Little bit about me:

I love fireworks it’s as simple as that ! I am now 47 years old with a terrible memory and yet I remember going into Robinsons newsagents on School Road Crookes and seeing the big wooden tea chest with pre decimal prices on (yes I must have been only 5). and looking in awe at these wondrous magical items like Traffic Lights and Snow Storm from Standard Fireworks, I also remember my teenage years just as I hit 13 years old the legal age of buying fireworks going up to 16 "DAMM!"  this didn't stop me going to Redgates on the Moor and looking in the big glass cabinets at the varying sizes of mesmerizing fireworks on show. I suppose now that is why I still just love feeling and touching these wonderful things and even have a nice little collection of things from days of old. Anyway I still love all fireworks from the smallest catherine wheel to the biggest single ignition box. Irrelevant of size I like to see a firework that makes you look and watch with your heart racing while producing wondrous effects that reflect in the size and the price that you have paid for the firework.
